I find Rick Rubin’s profile in the Times Magazine captivating. He started Def Jams, then moved on to other things. He’s worked with Red Hot Chili Peppers, Johnny Cash, The Dixie Chicks, Justin Timberlake, etc. What I take away from the article is that he has a approach to producing music like no one else.
